The Alice Springs Netball Association was formed in 1971. A dedicated committee – Jerry Baldock, Pat Gallagher and Margaret Rudwick got a four-team competition up and running at the rear of the Youth Centre on Stott Terrace. The original teams were DCA, Hells Angels, Federal and a high school team.
